POLICE RELEASE NAME OF VICTIM IN FATAL HWY 400 CRASH

Police have now released the name of the victim of a fatal collision on Highway 400. Xuan Lan Bongard of Brampton was killed after a transport truck lost control and crashed through the median, striking her car head on. The driver of the transport truck sustained only minor injuries.

Water inspection results have been released by the Province, and it looks like local municipalities have scored high. Alliston's inspection rating sits at 92.99%, while its water quality has a higher rating of 99.87%.

Tack on a few more tickets for this trucker. South Simcoe Police stopped a Ford Super duty truck hauling a large piece of equipment on Innisfil Beach Rd early Thursday (apr 23) morning. It turned out the load was overweight, but that was the least of the drivers' problems.

Car thieves strike in Innisfil. South Simcoe Police say a mini van was taken from a Ewart Street home sometime between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. The 2007 Chevy Uplander is white with Ontario plate BMPN482.

A Stroud man has been charged with child exploitation. South Simcoe Police, along with Barrie Police and OPP, executed a search warrant at a home in Stroud yesterday (Apr. 22). The cops charged a 46 year old man with accessing child pornography.
