New Tecumseth is seeking a $100,000 payment from Adjala-Tosorontio for recreational services. The request is Adjala-Tosorontio's 2014 contribution for non-residents using New Tec's rec services. The high price-tag isn't sitting well with some councillors.

BRADFORD WOMAN IDENTIFIED IN FATAL CRASH NEAR CORNWALL

A Bradford woman injured in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 401 near Cornwall has died. OPP say on Saturday afternoon (Oct 18) the vehicle left the roadway, entered the centre median and struck a cement culvert.

GUN LOCKER FOUND NEAR ANGUS & 2 PEOPLE FACING DRUG CHARGES

A gun locker with nine rifles has been found in a field near Angus. According to OPP, the locker was found on the west side of Don Ross Road, north of Highway 90 last week. Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.

As Breast Cancer Awarness Month continues, myFM caught up with local resident Donna Jebb, who is a survivor. Jebb's family has a history of breast cancer, including her father and great uncle. Jebb says early detection allowed her to catch the cancer at it's very early stage.

Banting Memorial Junior Football running back Sahara Haas scored the only touchdown in Friday's (Oct 17) 41-6 lost to Nantyr. According to the team, Haas may be the first female player to score a touchdown in high school football in the GBSSA area and most likely in Ontario.

HORNETS REBOUND WITH 6-2 WIN OVER PENETANG

Ryan Franks had a two-goal night, as the Hornets defeated Penetang 6-2. Alliston is the first team to defeat the Kings in regulation this season. Tanner Dockerty, Mark O'Donnell, Gianluca Pallotta, and Jacob Tuck also scored in the victory.

After hospital workers in the United States contracted Ebola, Ontario Health Minister Dr. Eric Hoskins wants to ensure the province is ready. Local paramedics will be going through special measures to prepare in the case of an Ebola outbreak.

Advance polls are open today in Adjala-Tosorontio. All wards can vote at the Municipal Centre from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Advance voting is also taking place in Essa Township. All constituents can go to the Town Administration Centre to cast their ballot between 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
