South Simcoe Police Marine Unit had to locate a boater who ran out of fuel on Lake Simcoe late Wednesday night (jun 21).

So far, there has been no known cure, except for a chainsaw.
But now a new hope is on the horizon for ash trees.
It comes in the form of another insect.

Innisfil Town Council is "practicing" the act of live streaming their council meetings.
The cameras have been set up.
Deputy Mayor Lynn Dollin says it won't happen immediately but soon residents can watch council from the comfort of their own home.

FOOD TRUCK RALLY A BIG HIT

The third annual RURBAN Food Truck Rally was a success.
The Alliston Business Improvement Association is reporting that over 3000 people braved the rain to enjoy the event last Saturday. (june17)
The food truck, drink vendors and entertainment kept the visitors happy all afternoon.

The Ontario Government is investing $255 million dollars for major school infrastructure projects across the province this year.
Unfortunately no money was included for upgrades or expansion to Banting Memorial High School in Alliston.
