Two drivers will be hoofing it for the next week. South Simcoe Police nailed 20 year old Beeton man doing 110km/h in a 50 km/h zone Tuesday (May 19) morning in Bond Head. Just before noon the same day, they clocked a 27 year old Barrie man doing 104km/h on Canal Road in a 50km/h zone.

COPS LOOK FOR BOAT BANDIT

South Simcoe Police say on Saturday (May 16) a boat and trailer were stolen from a locked compound at DeWildt Powersports on Commerce Park Dr in Innisfil. The boat is a 2014 black and orange MasterCraft X2. The trailer is black with a licence of L8170J.

SAFE BOATING WEEK

Plenty of boats will be hitting the water this weekend, so OPP is reminding boaters to be smart and boat safe. Last year, boating deaths were at a ten year low at 20 deaths, but OPP say even one death is too many.

SUSPICIOUS PACKAGE NOT A BOMB

What appeared to be a homemade bomb is no threat to the public. OPP have confirmed that the suspicious package found near train tracks in Tottenham would not have exploded. The device was found last Thursday night (May 14) on the train tracks near Foodland.

MISSING INNISFIL TEEN

The search is on for a missing Innisfil teen. 15 year old Daniel Bedak fled his parent's home Saturday after a dispute. He has not returned home or contacted his parents since. He is described as 5'5, 150lbs, with short dark brown hair and brown eyes.
