Norfolk OPP are looking for the driver of a red Dodge Caravan after a pedestrian was struck this afternoon on Victoria Street in Simcoe. Police say the van was reversing to allow a transport truck to turn when they hit the pedestrian.

Construction on Bridge 9 in Adjala-Tosorontio is behind schedule. Public Works Superintendent Jim Moss says the contractors are almost three weeks behind. :15 The schedule may be slightly behind, but the project is still well-under budget.

The final installment of a $250,000 pledge to the Georgian College Optical Clinic has been presented by the Barrie Lions Club. Over 100 students provide vision care at the clinic located in the Sadlon Centre for Health and Wellness.

The Bradford woman injured in last week's single-vehicle crash in Cookstown is on a long-road to recovery. According to South Simcoe Police, the 56 year-old woman suffered multiple fractures when her car slammed into a building at the intersection of Queen and King Streets.

Several complaints were passed onto the Town after a hot tub expo held last weekend in Alliston scattered promotion signs throughout Town. The small signs also littered the downtown core on light posts, upsetting some businesses.

COLLISION CLOSES HWY 9 BETWEEN WESTON AND 400

Highway 9 between Weston Road (56) and Highway 400 has been closed following a crash that happened earlier today (Tues Jul 29). According to OPP, two dump trucks collided causing debris to be scattered across the road and a diesel spill. There were minor injuries.
